Sister-in-Law: Doug [my brother] is going to be out of town for about a month...I wish there was a way for us to talk easily and for him to see the kids.

today was pretty sweet. I didn’t have to work, so I slept in until about 10. I chilled for a while, drinking my coffee, then later got lunch for the family. after that I somehow had the urge to be productive and clean my room (what even?). later I went and bought groceries, and visited with my grandmother, who gave me some watermelons—the official fruit of summer. later in the day I...

mylastprayer asked: Hello there =)
So, it turns out that I need a place for poetry for this summer project thingy-thing. So I went ahead and created a new tumblr. It's just a poetry blog though, not a personal one, so I wont be on as much but yeah.
Oh, and this is Nsela, by the way =)

soupsoup: In human terms, 224,000 to 258,000 people have died directly from warfare, including 125,000 civilians in Iraq. this morning I gave my cousin a ride to his municipal court appearance for his traffic violation tickets.  this post is about race. there were only two races present: white and black. I didn’t do an exact count, but the number was about 5 white, 25 black.  the demographics of this city are 48% white, 49% black. so why is it that 83% of the citations were against black people and only...

Anonymous Declares War on City of Orlando... →
essenceofhumanity: bethefoodoflove: ‘Hacktivists’ from the loosely-organized hacker collective Anonymous have announced plans to use cyber warfare against the city after activists from the group “Food, not Bombs” were arrested in droves for feeding the homeless without proper licensing. The City of Orlando has ignored our warnings, and our generous offer of a cease fire. On Wednesday last...

Republican mayor in the South becomes unlikely... →
Bridges is one of more than a dozen plaintiffs suing Georgia and its governor, trying to stop the state’s new immigration law. They won a reprieve Monday when a federal judge temporarily blocked parts of the law scheduled to go into effect July 1. It’s not often that I praise my own state of Georgia, but this makes my heart warm.
